Darren and Renee and their family live in Toowoomba, Queensland, where Darren is very active in care work with young people. They are part of the Brisbane New Church and they have been to several camps. Darren has been studying with the Australian New Church College for several years and has come to see himself looking to a ministry within the New Church based in South East Queensland.
The Brisbane Society has invited Darren to become their minister and, while very many practicalities need to be considered, he has accepted this invitation. Darren will be ordained into ministry in the New Church on Sunday June 29th at the Brisbane church, and formally welcomed into ministry by several members.
All of us wish Darren and his family a wonderfully fulfilling and rewarding ministry, and we pray for everything that he does in the name of the Lord, for everyone he inspires, and for each and every one of his growing family. He is many things, a loving husband and father, a committed Christian, a powerful presenter, a good musician, a published author, and, as many of us already know, a delightful person to be with.
May the Lord be with the Brunne family and with the church in Queensland in this lovely new relationship.
